The Card Chart offers a quick snapshot of essential stats like averages, totals, or counts right on your dashboard. It shows a single, key value for each metric, making it easy to instantly track important numbers, such as the total monthly returns, average claim processing time, or the count of pending claims. This straightforward view keeps the dashboard clean and focused, letting you monitor critical metrics at a glance without extra visual details.

Tip:

The Card Chart is most effective in dashboards, offering quick insights that enhance other charts. You can use the "Hide from Navigation" feature to keep the chart accessible only within the dashboard, not as a standalone view.

Creating a Card

  • Select Card as the Chart Type.

  • Use the color picker to add a background color to your card chart. By default, no background color is applied.

  • Aggregate Type: Choose the type of data summary for the chart:

    • Count displays the number of entries.

    • Sum shows the total of all values.

    • Average calculates the average value of the data.

When "Sum" or "Average" is selected, an additional dropdown appears, allowing you to choose the specific field for these calculations.

  • Date Range: To narrow down data to a specific period, select a date range. You can choose a custom range or pick from preset intervals like this year, month, week, or day.

  • Date Field: Once a date range is set, select the date field you want to apply it to.
