Introduction
Just like the name says, a DateTime field is where you can pick both a date and a time. If you need to know the time along with the date, this is the field type to use. It's more detailed than a Date field.
Steps to create a DateTime field
Provide a Name and Description of your formula field. You can also include helpful instructions to guide the user using Help Text. Simply enable the check box “Display Help as HTML” to display the help text in HTML format.
- Select DateTime as Field Type.
- If it's a must-have field, enable the "Required" box.
- There are two ways to set a default value. You can either pick a date and time using a calendar picker or set it as the date when the object is being created by enabling the checkbox "Date of Object Creation".
- Click on Create button.
