Each view type is tailored for specific actions. | View Type | Description | | --- | --- | | [Add View](/v1/docs/add-views) | Uses for creating a new object | | [Display View](/v1/docs/display-views) | Shows the data and other information related to an object | | [Edit View](/v1/docs/edit-views) | Allows changes to an object by editing | | [Delete View](/v1/docs/delete-views) | Enables deletion of an object | | [List View](/v1/docs/list-views) | Displays objects in a list or card format, making it easier to view and manage multiple objects in one place. | | [Embedded List View](/v1/docs/embedded-list-views) | Shows objects in a list format. Used for parent-child track configurations (relationships), where the parent object can access and manage its child objects directly using embedded lists. | All views are created under tracks. To get to the **Views** menu, you need to select a track first, the open the configuration menu on the left bar. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/31abc2bc-21c1-457d-a88c-27afd2eed7d6/Images/Documentation/image(154).png) Admin Portal ### **Common Features Across All View Types** Although each view type in TeamTracks has its own dedicated configuration page, some features are universally applicable: - **Create New Views** - Each view type page includes a **Create New** button. When creating a new view, the view type will be preselected and cannot be changed later. - **View Management** - All created views are displayed in a list format on their respective pages. - Filtering options are available to help locate specific views quickly. - **Cloning Views** - To duplicate an existing view, click the **Clone** button next to it. - A pop-up window will appear to: - Enter the name for the new view. - Select the type of view to clone into. By default, clone view type will be the same (Unchanged) - If you do not want to copy over user role permissions, disable the corresponding checkbox. - Click **Clone** to create the new view, which will then appear in the respective view type page. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/31abc2bc-21c1-457d-a88c-27afd2eed7d6/Images/Documentation/image(97).png) ### Configuring any view To create a new View: **Open the View Page** and select **Create New**. ***Name***: Mandatory.
